Health Benefits Of Citrus Fruits

The health benefits of citrus fruits have long been documented. Generations ago, sailors who were on ships for long periods of time and who did not get enough of these fruits would get scurvy, a disease caused by lack of vitamin C. While most people today are not in danger of getting scurvy and do get enough vitamin C, they still do not typically get enough citrus fruits!

The health benefits of juicing include detoxification and digestive cleansing as well as providing the body with adequate water and concentrated nutrients. Phytochemicals are becoming increasingly important in research on auto-immune disorders, including cancer, arthritis, asthma and allergies.
